Vincent has had a very rough 48 hours having to be brought by ambulance from home to Loyola Hospital in Maywood because he was unresponsive at home on Friday morning. He’s admitted to the Pediatric ICU in critical condition with hemorrhages and bleeding in his brain likely caused by the progression of the tumor sites.
He has little brain stem function is very low and he is unresponsive except for an occasional foot movement. He is getting chemical help for his blood pressure to keep his heart beating, but Vincent's brain function is not enough to keep his heart beating and breathing.
His ventilator is giving him 25 breaths per minute, which is more than healthy rate of 16-20. However, he cannot sustain his breathing when without the ventilator, only 8-9 shallow breaths per minute. Many of his family members are at Loyola to help decide when he should be taken off the ventilator.
Please pray for him. God bless everyone who has helped him and prayed for him.
