Update: 

Hello Everyone, 

I know it has been a long time. I was waiting for all of Vienna’s tests to come back to give you guys a 2 year update on her progress. 

Vienna celebrated her 9th birthday on Dec. 7th and her cell’s birthday or 2nd “re-birth” on Dec. 11th. We had had Harry Potter theme birthday party that was at our house. It was crazy but fun. 

We started her testing/ clinic visits at the beginning of Dec. Vienna gets every part of her body checked (heart, bones, liver, hormones, brain, bone marrow, lungs, blood, etc.). Some of the tests can take a few weeks to get the results back and Christmas slow downs the process.

Most of the results came in!!! The most exciting new is that Vienna is still in remission (No cancer cell found in her bone barrow, Negative for FLT3, Negative for NUP98, she is still 100% her donor cells). This is all great news. Whoot! Whoot! 

What does this mean going forward? We don’t know yet! We will be meeting with Vienna’s bone marrow doctor in a couple weeks and we will create a plan for the next year. 

Example: the next bone marrow test, when we need to come in for clinic, labs, meds, tests, etc.
