Hello Family and Friends,

I still remain in shock and need to continue to be strong for Victoria. Today, we arrived at Baptist to start the first dose of Chemotherapy. Our worry is her IV access. Her veins are so difficult to find. She checked in at the lab, and they were able to get her blood. It was a quiet day. Not that many people. We entered pod A to get the chemo. Today, Victoria will get Gemzar. She got her pre-meds, and they started her chemo only for her IV to go out. They had a difficult time getting access but were finally able to find a vein. As the chemo infused, Victoria started to complain of that metallic taste and nausea. The chemo burned through her little veins. Her right arm was on fire. Victoria was short of breath getting to the care, and she managed. I got her home. Victoria was able to nap and woke up with nausea. She feels swollen everywhere. Her arms are bruised. She continues to be a trooper. I did miss my helper Barry today. Due to covid, she can only have one visitor. The challenge now begins on how to overcome the side effects of chemo. She does feel like her counts are dropping with her feeling so achy.

As always, we pray for an event free weekend. God, we pray for your healing. Let this chemotherapy work, and kill these cancerous cells in her body.
