Vicki’s Story

Site created on December 7, 2023

Hello everyone! Welcome to Vicki's CaringBridge site. She was diagnosed with acute leukemia on Tuesday, Dec. 5. This is Celeste, Vicki's sister-in-law, writing this. I will be updating the page as she and her family get more information. It is all new yet so she, along with everyone else, is still learning about it and what her treatments will be. Her best friends, Cole and Carla, have been with her and are providing updates to the family. Stay tuned for more.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Celeste Edenloff

Hello everyone and almost Happy Easter!

Here is a quick update on Vicki, who sends a huge thank you to everyone for their kind words, thoughts, prayers, well wishes and support.

At this time, she is continuing to have chemo treatments five days a week. She had a new port put in her chest that they use for treatments. The first port was in her arm.

Her labs have been good, which is awesome news to share!

She will be taking a month off of her chemo treatments beginning on April 7. She will resume treatments starting on May 6. Those will continue until sometime in June.  Her next big lab test on her APL numbers will be in May.

And the best news of all...her last round of chemo should be in July. Hopefully. At that time, she will be in remission. Please say some more prayers that this happens!

And if you need a day brightener, just look at the adorable picture of Vicki's dog, Bailey. Seriously, how adorable is he?!?!
