Journal entry by vernette Rae —
I started a new chemo today in hopes of turning this cancer around. I have 2 rather large tumors on my bladder which are causing some distress to that organ resulting in a very aggressive infection. The 3rd tumor is on the left hand side attached to the wall of my abdomen. My body’s response is to start building up fluid in my abdomen which is not very helpful and the source of much nausea and pain.
The family is taking this sudden change in my health very hard. I must admit that I don’t have much comfort to give them. Peace is a little hard to share. Helmut is also in shock right now. To start the week with such good news regarding the sale of our house to such bad news by the beginning of the next week is quite a roller coaster to be on. Please pray for all of them, Helmut, Chuck, Chris and Andrea during this hard time.
I continue to pray that this chemo works and gives me more time. God bless all of you for your prays, cards, kind words, and food. Helmut and I are so grateful for your love. All these things I lay before God in Jesus name, knowing that God surrounds us with all of you.
