Journal entry by Allyson Kellner —
Family and Friends,
I'm now able to give everyone some updates/results from the numerous tests Roz has had the past several days.
1) The MRI and EEG showed: a) no active seizures or strokes, currently. b) there are spots on a few lobs of the brain that make her higher risk for developing strokes. It was confirmed that she did have three seizures two weeks ago.
2) She has a small lesion/mass on her pituitary gland that needs watching. She will be seeing a specialist for further evaluation on this.
3) Her Speech therapy and test yesterday showed major damage/swelling/inflammation to her vocal chords and voice box---from the ventilator, trach, and coughing. She is on complete vocal rest for one week (this next week, starting yesterday), followed by two weeks of bare minimum talking. Most of you all know she loves to talk; this this is going to be very hard for her. She has said if you need to get a hold of her, please text or FB messenger her.
4) Her IBS has been better since the C-Diff meds were completed--but as of today, some of the symptoms have returned.
5) She is still fighting pain from the broken ribs, and related pain in her back, neck, shoulders, and left knee cap.
6) She will restart rehab/therapy this coming week. It will be a modified schedule, but it will be good to get back to the physical therapy.
7) All of this is taking it's toll emotionally. Continue to pray for depression, anxiety, and staying strong!
Roz wishes me to convey to everyone how much she "truly appreciates all the prayers and support. I still have a long way to go, but I promise everyone that I am trying as hard as I can."
Blessings,
Allyson
