Tyler just got back from spending a week with his classmates at Ourdoor Ed.
We made it work by sending him daily, and he came back every evening to get chemo and to sleep. But he was at camp by 7:30 every morning, and was able to participate in all the daily activities. I know it will be a memory he will have forever, and we’re so grateful to Mr. Giller, his teacher, for helping to make it happen.
We’re 2 months and 2 days away from Tyler’s bell-ringing ceremony where he will celebrate being officially done with treatment. He will take his last dose of chemo on July 7th, and will have a final lumbar puncture on July 1st. We wanted to wait to get the official results from the puncture prior to doing the bell-ringing which is why it’s so much later.
He continues to do well, and all his monthly check-ups have been good, so for that we’re grateful.
