The love of my life and future husband Tyler has been diagnosed with stage four neuroendocrine cancer, this is so hard to type, as I still don’t want to believe it.
Our story started March 31st, 2018, when we went to the ER for a lump on his head and he was having dizziness. They did a CT scan and this is where we found out that he had a brain tumor. They told us that the chances of it being malignant where slim to none and that it was a mengioma. We were then transferred to Mercy hospital in Coon Rapids. He was there for a few days and then transferred to Abbott Northwestern where he had brain surgery on April 6th. After surgery we where told that the preliminary results where malignant and that we had to wait for the biopsy results to come back,but they were calling it a malignant carcinoma. He came home on April 9th and set up an appointment to see the oncologist. We saw the oncologist on April 13th and we where told that the tissue that they found in the brain was not from the there and that it most likely came from the gastrointestinal area. Tyler had a PET scan on April 16th and they found that it was coming from the gastrointestinal area and liver. He will be starting chemo soon. We will be going down to Abbott three days a week for one week and then again in another three weeks for another round of chemo, not sure how many rounds of chemo he will need.
I currently only have a part time job and taking college classes and Tyler is unable to work at this time,(even though he would go back tomorrow, if he was able). It is going to be a long road ahead of us.
We have a great support team from both our families and his seventeen year old son.
Tyler is strong and a Bryant so he is tougher than most. We are taking it day by day and praying that everything will turn out for the better. I still believe everything happens for a reason, we may not know why but one day it will all make sense.
We will be having a visitation memorial service for Tyler on December 2nd at Christ church in Otsego from 4pm to 8pm and at 6pm there will be a small service with Pastor Greg and if any one would like to say something we will be doing that at this time also.
