Journal entry by Erin DiFranco —
On behalf of our entire family I would like to thank the Lorain County community and beyond for their wonderful care and support of us during the passing of our beloved husband and dad, Troy DiFranco. We were shown amazing care and compassion by UH Elyria, Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home, and Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the prayers, visits, help at the house, food, gift cards, and donations we continue to receive. Even the daily texts just to check on us mean so much. To those that organized, donated prizes, cooked, worked, and came to pay their respects at Troy’s Celebration of Life-it truly means the world to us. We are proud to call Lorain County home. Our communities have always pulled together when one is in need. There are too many to list but area businesses, school athletic departments, former players and students, basketball coaches, area sports teams, and area churches have all done so much for us. Last but not least the wonderfulMidview community that Troy loved so much has done more for us than anyone will ever know. After 26 years Troy was still excited to teach and coach at Midview every day. He was so proud of his school and community and is even more proud of the way you have taken care of us. The best way to thank all of you is that we will continue to pay your generosity forward. And the best way we can ALL honor Troy is to live like he did-with genuine caring and kindness for all.Michelle, Erin, Lauren & Evan DiFranco
