Some thirty days have gone by since Trowby passed. I have received many many cards and notes and emails from friends and associates. With a little clarity now I can see how effective she was in creating relationships and following causes.
As some of her friends know she was fortunate to receive a high quality education at St. Margaret’s school in Waterbury Connecticut. This was the foundation for all that followed. Her classmates, most of whom were daughters of industrialists, self created their commitment to god and country.
God and country are the same words used in the credo of The Union League Club of Chicago that she belonged to for twenty years. These commitments were the guiding principles of her life.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Dan
