Trista's arm still remains an area of concern but so far has been able to avoid the OR. The incision looks great with healthy edges but still had a bit of fluid seeping from it. They placed a wound vac on it and replaced her brace with something stiffer as they were concerned the first one was allowing for too much movement and causing the fluid build-up. With any luck, she'll be breaking out of the hospital soon!
As for where she will go after the hospital, they have been looking at a place in Lake City. Still unsure what the visitor policy will be like. But phone calls are helpful at any time!
Trista remains upbeat and her happy go lucky self as she goes through this and has even made light of the fact that the scars on her face will allow her to have an easy Halloween costume if she's out by then!
We do have plans in the works for some sort of fundraiser. A basket drawing, where you could buy tickets, and place them into drawings for different baskets. And also some sort of online auction for some higher-priced items. No date set, but help with accumulating auction items and/or baskets would be very much appreciated.
Thank you all for all the support and prayers as she goes through this. One thing is for sure she is one tough cookie!
