Journal entry by Jessica Nielsen

Thank you to everyone who prayed for Trisha during her battle with Blastomycosis. Because of your prayers, we were blessed with days comforting her while she fought hard to come home. Heartbreakingly the doctors did everything they possibly could and then some to bring her home to us. We decided, with the help of her doctors, that comfort care was the best choice for her as her body was telling us it has had enough. She was surrounded with love, tears, laughs, stories and we had a beer with Trisha at the ICU in her last moments last night, as she would have liked. We cannot thank the hospital staff enough for their incredible care for both us and our dear Trisha. We are comforted knowing she got the best care possible. There are no words that could possibly express the immense piece of our heart that has left but we know she is always with us being our cheerleader. We never lost hope because we had faith, but God needed her more. We might never know his plan but we trust in him and we will live our lives being the best parts of our Trisha. We will be fun, carefree, loving, understanding, family centered, and hard working in all that we do. We hope her loving friends and family will also live their lives the same way. The sun shinned so much brighter with her in our world but now the stars and moon will to. We love you so much Trisha. Please pray for us as we learn how to navigate life without such a crucial piece of our hearts. Rodney, Barb and family want to send a special thank you for everyone’s kind words, prayers and support. They are appreciated beyond words and please know they mean a lot to Trisha’s families.

Funeral and visitation arrangements will be announced early in the week. A celebration of life/birthday party for Trisha will also be planned for all of her friends and family, she wouldn’t want it any other way.
