Journal entry by Tricia Molls

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this "nice" winter.  I've been so lucky that we haven't gotten much snow, because it scares me to death walking on even an inch, at least until I'm walking "normal" again! I have learned (I think) to accept that this may be my new "normal".  I do struggle with the thought of it daily 😒 but try to focus on the positive.  Taylor reminded me the other day, when I was telling her about the 800 piece puzzle I completed in 3 days. She said "Mom! You've come so far! Remember in the hospital when you had trouble doing the 13 piece puzzle?" THAT is exactly what I needed to be reminded of. I attached a pic of that day, exactly 8 long months ago.

Our whole family was able to enjoy 8 days in Costa Rica last month, it was WONDERFUL!!  I was limited to what I could do, but just spending quality time with family was the best! Little Nash was the center of attention, of course.

My Chemo treatments continue every other week and everything healthwise looks really good! My healing from the stroke really seems to have stalled, but I'm still working hard with daily strengthening exercises and therapy once a week. My foot pain returned mid Dec and is even worse than last time, even after a second botox shot Jan 9th. I've been on extra strength Tylenol and Tramadol around the clock for weeks, with not much relief.  Yesterday I started a Fentynol patch, again, not much relief.  I've been asking for an MRI with no response, but tomorrow I see a pain specialist, so hopefully he'll order one. It just makes me so angry (at Mayo) that I have to be in pain when this stroke never EVER should've happened in the first place!!

Please keep your prayers coming for continued healing, patience and strength to give it all to God. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!  ❤️
