Updates, info, journal entries regarding Tricia's experience with Breast Cancer

"I found a lump and immediately called my doctor. They scheduled me for an appointment a couple weeks after that.I was referred to get a mammogram. After the mammogram and an ultra sound, they decided to do a biopsy immediately right there on the radiation table. Two days later, I received the call informing me that the biopsy results did show cancer cells. He said the stage of cancer won't be determined until after the surgery, where they will remove and inspect lymph nodes in the area.

"We're going to take good care of you," he said.

I was in shock for a couple of days then spent the next day or so sporadically bursting into tears.

I've received a lot of well wishes and support so far. My mom has been great!

I'm so lucky to have my sweet husband, Terry. He is one of my top favorite people!

My two sons are my motivation to fight through this.

I'm going to eat a lot of healthy food and supplements in order to boost my immune system for the road ahead."

No genetic biomarkers found. This is good news. I’m happiest that I most likely didn’t pass cancer genes to my kids.
