It’s been a while. Time for an update!

Quite a lot update on. Over the last three months, Trav has had another MRI, completed a few rounds of chemo, released some new music, and we welcomed our newest member to the family!

During his chemo treatments, Trav meets with his doctor once a month. They keep track of his blood counts, his side effects, and do regular MRIs. His MRI last month came back with no changes, so still stable! He will have another MRI next month just to check again.

Right now, Trav is in the middle of his fourth round of chemo. He takes his chemo pills for five days in a row and then gets three weeks without them. Unfortunately, the side effects have really set in these last two rounds. Extreme nausea and fatigue are the worst of it. He can’t keep much down during the treatment. He does better with liquids, so last month, we found that a shake from Chick-fil-A and a smoothie from a local juice shop were his favorite meals that he could keep down! Trav is fighting hard and we continue to try to see the end of treatment as the light at the end of this tunnel. Over halfway through! He will have two more chemo treatments after this one (July and August), so he should be finished by the end of summer!! 🙌🏼

Throughout everything Trav has been through this year, he has continued to pursue his music goals. Trav and his band have been working on a new album, and have released a couple of songs already. You can listen to them on any music platform by searching for Travis Teel Page, or Travis Teel Page and the Capitol Club. He is traveling to Austin next week to finish up a few more songs with a friend and then traveling to Atlanta to complete in a songwriters competition at Eddies Attic. You can follow his Facebook or Instagram page to stay updated with new releases.

In addition to everything else going on, we have welcomed the sweetest baby boy to our family! Leo Douglas was born at the end of April and he is so wonderful! Olive has been the absolute best big sister. She loves to help me with diapers, getting him dressed, bringing him toys, etc. Leo is her real life baby doll. 😂 I have been able to take some time off work to recover and just love on Olive and Leo. I will start my daycare up again next month. We have been loved on and supported by so many people since Leo has been born. From everyone who brought meals, came over to mow our lawn, given financially, and especially my mom - For coming over and helping with the kids, making me to rest and let myself heal even when I wanted to just get things done, giving me time to take a shower, and helping me not be a crazy person 🤪 We are so thankful for everyone loving and helping our family!

Things you can be praying:
-For Trav to make it through these last months of chemo with a strong mind and the ability to see that there is an end to his treatment. It is difficult to even see to tomorrow when he is feeling so bad while he is taking the chemo pills.
-For Trav’s work to continue to be understanding when he has to take time off because he is too sick.
-For rest for the whole family.
-For safe travels next week as Trav goes to Austin and Atlanta.

And it is important to document: As I was typing this out, the Blues won the Stanley Cup!! 🏒💙💛🏆

❤️ Emily
