Journal entry by Ashley Allen

Hard to believe tomorrow is six weeks since Traes accident. He has come so far. This week we had two doctors appointments and both doctors made comments saying how amazed they were at Traes progress and never thought he would be walking into
their offices at this point. God is good. Only thanks to God is Trae where he is today.

These last two weeks I’ve driven Trae to many work appointments and taken many business phone calls and texts. Trae is doing more and more each day but gets very exhausted quickly. These two weeks have been nice to get caught up on work and meet with all of our customers as Tuesday Trae starts out patient therapy. He is very ready to start this as he wants to drive again and they are the people who will get him there.

Traes biggest complaints at this point are his eyes and his taste and smell. The physical therapist who has been visiting our house over the last two weeks has been giving him lots of eye exercises and they do seem to be helping but he still has a little ways to go. As for his taste and smell that is driving Trae crazy. He can’t taste or smell anything normally and even says most things smell bad to him. Please pray this will come back soon as it’s driving him crazy. Lastly, Trae has been struggling with some depression at times which is expected according to the doctors but is something that could use your prayers.

Thank you so much for all of your love and support! We appreciate you all so much. The food everyone has provided has been a lifesaver each evening and he hugs, phone calls, and texts have kept us going. Thanks again!
