Tracey’s Story

Site created on May 26, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. This site is being managed by Rorie, Tracey's daughter and Robert Tracey's husband.
Two weeks ago, Tracey’s doctor informed us that she had a large mass on her anterior mediastinum. Tracey had been seeing her doctor for over a year for digestive problems. Just by happenstance she ordered a chess X-ray two weeks ago and a mass was  quite evident.
Presently the possible diagnosis is Thymoma. It has not been. confirmed

Tracey had a Biopsy last Friday to confirm a diagnosis and set the treatment plan. We expect the results this Friday. She is presently treating with Dr Robert Taylor Ripley a well known and experienced Thoracic Surgeon at Baylor/St Luke's Medical Center.  On Tuesday she saw
Dr Min Kim  at Methodist Hospital a very experience and highly recommend by our St Agnes Academy  parents, who themselves, are outstanding Houston cancer physicians. Tomorrow we will meet with another top rated Thoracic Surgeon, Dr Mara Antonoff,, from  MD Anderson Cancer Center.  Dr Antonoff is experienced in treating Thymomas and has excellent reviews from former patients.  Any comments welcomed.
We have had great community support from our flying Angels, the EXCONS flight attendant at United airlines(Headed by Jaye Ma, Tracey's book club and from Rorie's student friends at St Agnes Academy and their parents.  Tracey, Rorie and Robert are so grateful 🙏🏽😘

Journal entry by Robert Johnson

Great news folks! Tracey had her 3 month testing at MD Anderson yesterday and got the all clear from her doctor this morning.  The doctor felt that because of the number of clear exams she has had the examinations will be every 4 months instead of the current 3 months. Much thanks for your prayers and support.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💪🏽😘
