Tony’s Story

As most of you know, Tony was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in April. After months of chemo and radiation, his surgery to remove and repair the esophagus was scheduled for August 27th. The first couple of days went well, but then a perfect storm of complications put him in critical condition. The first journal entry has a brief timeline of how we got where we are. Check back for updates as we go through the months and months of recovery to get him home.

Unfortunately we have to share some bad news. This afternoon Tony passed away. He fought until the end, and went peacefully, surrounded by family. We are very grateful that we were all able to see him one last time. We cannot thank everyone enough for the outpouring of support and prayers, it was truly overwhelming. We will update when arrangements are made. Love you all.
