Tony’s Story

Site created on March 12, 2021

Our friend and my oldest brother Tony Niedenthal died March 14,2020 after a long course with lung disease. Six months prior he and mom had to emergently evacuate their home after tropical storm Imelda flooded their home in Kingwood. They moved to Portland Oregon and lived in an assisted living apartment together for the last 3-4 months of his life.

Tony loved fishing, motorcycles, and having a good time with friends. He lived hard and loved hard. He was a diligent worker and earned the respect and admiration of many along the way. He had some pretty tall tales and I hope wherever he is now there are long roads with beautiful views and great fishing!

Journal entry by Chrissie O

Dear Friends,
I can hardly believe it but this weekend on March 14 we will mark the one year anniversary of Tony’s passing. I have wanted to memorialize him many times and in many ways but since a funeral or memorial service was not possible during the early days of the pandemic last year I thought this would be an opportunity for all of us who miss him to feel some sense of community and share stories and favorite memories. Please come back as often as you like and add pictures and stories and whatever you feel inspired to share.

We love you brother and you are missed by many!

❤️,
Chrissie
