Journal

Our long time and dear friend Tony Meanes recently had a heart attack while Elk hunting in Eastern Oregon. Tony experienced some unusual feelings of shortness of breath and discomfort that came and went in his chest without knowing that he was having a medical emergency at the time. After leaving camp early, he drove home to Gresham and was evaluated at an Emergency room a few days later after resting with no relief of symptoms and was diagnosed with a heart attack. During that time of evaluation he ended up having a 2nd heart attack. In his emergent condition he was sent to Emanuel hospital in North Portland right away awaiting word if he needed a procedure with a catheter to his heart to place a stent or open heart surgery. Thankfully he had a dye catheter placed and no blockages were found. But, his health at this time is fragile due to him having an unknown reason for a heart attack.

As all his friends know, Tony is a single father with school aged children who he does support. He is very active with hunting and fishing and many other outdoor activities with friends and his children. He has always been very healthy and never had any medical conditions or a family history of heart disease.

Currently Tony unfortunately does not have any medical insurance. Due to the costs of the accumulation of hospital bills, medical recovery, ongoing testing and observation, living expenses we are asking for help in anyway possible to give some relief for him. At this time he will not be able to work due to the recovery and will be accumulating even more medical bills.

Please pray for his fast recovery and to give strength in this time of need. Also, please pray for the team of doctors who cared for him and that continue to care for him at this time.

Any help would be so grateful.
