Dad has been home now for about a month. Jonathan and Jenny arrived back from Singapore this week to a warm reunion despite the cold weather now in Sydney. We are readying ourselves for a weekend of lunches and dinners to celebrate mum's 77th birthday.

Dad has recovered well and has ongoing physiotherapy to further aid his recovery. He is independent around the home and has been keeping busy with doing his exercises, cooking, cleaning, and hosting visitors. We are very thankful for those who have come to visit bearing fruits and groceries. The pantry is well stocked and there is plenty of fruit at the moment.

Mum is also starting to settle into her daily routine and we are thankful for the many friends and family who came to visit or take her out during her six-week stay in Singapore. Her stay with Jonathan forced her to climb many stairs daily and we suspect her movement has improved as a result. Her physiotherapy sessions re-commence next week and she is looking forward to the workouts.

Jeremy has been instrumental in setting up the various care packages and home-care help available to us. There are still various assessments and hoops to jump through, but Jem seems to have mastered the very complicated NSW Health processes and we are confident that we will have sufficient support in the next month or three.

Jonathan will be in Sydney for a few more days before heading back to Singapore.

We do appreciate the visitors who take the time to visit and pray with mum and dad. If visiting, please call at least a day or so ahead to ensure that they are home and able to receive you.

Prayer pointers:
  1. For safety as they move about - especially in the late afternoon and evenings when they get tired and may not be as focused on their surroundings.
  2. For their health and mental faculties to remain sound as they get older.
  3. For good relationships with friends and family.
  4. That they may live active and meaningful lives.
We will continue to update this website as to their condition and thank the many people who have left comments and read this journal over the last few months.

With grateful thanks,
Jonathan, Jeremy, Sandra, Stephanie
