Tonya’s Story

Hello Friends, my name is  Linda McGuire and I am close friend of Tonya's in the VA area.  I set us this caring bridge to give all of her friends and family a place to stay in touch and send their love and thoughts to her without flooding her inbox, text, or fb messages.  Here is Tonya's journey as of Sunday April 15th.
Tonya had been have some headaches over the past 6 weeks with just the feeling that it was just stress.  Two weeks ago, she was also experiencing some stiff necks issues. of which she felt was just sleeping wrong or sore muscles.  Thursday evening while trying to run a virtual party her headaches became too much for her take and she ventured to the ER, there via CT scan they found a small bleed (we don't know if it was an active bleed or old).  They immediately sent her via ambulance to much bigger hospital that takes neuro patients.  On Friday, a follow up MRI determined a small tumor in her brain that needed to be surgically removed.  She is preparing for surgery right now as I type this note on Sunday am.  
Her mother and father and two daughters are here with her now.  Please keep Tonya, Mike, Darius, Brittany, and in your prayers.  Please your prayers and thoughts here for Tonya.  I will keep the page updated as things progress and she begins to heal!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Tonya is starting her radiation treatment this evening.  I think it would be great if we all lifted Tonya up this evening to ease her uncertainty to the road ahead.  Please pray for her and the treatment regime she will be starting today!
