Tom hasn't been feeling good for awhile now.  A trip down to see his Cardiologist in Wausau didn't give us answers to his excessive fatigue and  painful legs .  He took himself into Urgent Care a few weeks later, telling us that something is wrong , and it wasn't just that he was getting old.  He had a GI work up and he had some abnormal blood vessels in his stomach cauterized.  He came home after spending a few days in the hospital. 
      On July 7th, Stephen and Cate, Tom's grandson and wife, came to pick up Tom for coffee.  They noticed that something wasn't right with Tom and then when Tom couldn't speak, they called for an ambulance.  A CT scan showed a stroke.  They took him by ambulance to Marshfield where more tests were run.  Tom suffered a stroke that has affected the language center of the brain.  He can move the other parts of his body, but he can't talk.  This is going to be a problem for him at Coffee with his Trump loving republicans...
     Tom will start  therapy in hope of bringing back some of the language function.  It's going to be frustrating for him we know.  So all you prayer warriors, get to it.
