Tom’s Story

Site created on September 9, 2023

Thanks for visiting our CaringBridge website in Tom's memory. We so appreciate all the support, prayers, hugs,  and visits.

Tom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in November 2022 after noticing digestive issues. Tom chose to immediately fight with a light variety of chemotherapy, followed by a stronger round that knocked him off his feet and made him ineligible to continue treatment. Tom was thrilled to bobsled in February--checking off a big bucket-list item--and was at peace when his time came to meet God. Aurora's hospice nursing team helped keep Tom comfortable at home with Kathy.

Tom’s attitude was nothing short of amazing since the day of his diagnosis. His heart was full of faith and gratitude. He continues to inspire our relationships with God and each other.

Here is Tom's Obituary we wrote as a family:

Tom regularly enjoyed and happily contributed to Wisconsin Public Television and NPR. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations to these public broadcasters in his honor. You can make donations with a note "Honoring the life of Thomas Arlen Knott" through these secure links:
