Journal entry by Sammy Jo Griggs —
Tom took the final step today. He drove himself and had his port removed from his chest. That was the last step of our journey.
He has a weird bruise on his chest and is a little tender, but other than that he is 100% doing great.
In 10 days he will return to the classroom. He has already gone in and met his new principal, seen some colleagues and students. We are all so happy for him to return to his "normal" life again.
We continue to be so thankful for all of the support we have received through this journey.
We did it!
Thank you ALL!
