Thomas’s Story

Thomas Alexander Higgins Kenyon (aka “TKO Low Dose”) age 31, died after being struck by a car on Monday, August 15, 2022 in St. Louis, MO.

Tom was born and raised in University City, MO. A graduate of University City High School’s class of 2009, Tom excelled in both academics and sports. Although running/track was his passion, Tom was an incredibly well-rounded athlete, excelling at football, baseball and soccer.

Tom graduated from UMSL with a BA in Literature in 2014. He was a former substitute teacher and head track coach for the Jennings School District shortly after finishing college.

In 2014, Tom and Julia Richardson (Tony) welcomed the love of Tom’s life into the world when their son Jackson Davis Kenyon was born.  There was simply nothing that Tom loved more than being with Jackson.  He bragged about Jackson incessantly, and you could see him bursting with pride whenever they spent time together.

Tom was a very gifted musician and lyricist.  TKO Low Dose dropped the sickest beats, as anyone fortunate enough to attend one of his famous performances at Cicero’s could attest.  He was also a mega fan of The Beatles, Froggy Fresh and Atmosphere.

Fiercely independent, Tom always had a job, and worked hard in order to become a homeowner in University City in 2015, a source of great pride for him.

Tom is survived by his son Jackson; his mother Mary Nani Lhotak (nee Higgins); his father David Kenyon; his stepfather Chris Lhotak; his stepmother Lisa Kenyon (nee McCulloch); his sisters Grace Kenyon (Jacob), Martha Zeytinci (Asil), Sophia Kenyon (Zeke), and Heather Kenyon; his brothers Sammy Lhotak and Michael Lhotak; his nephew Zeki Zeytinci; Jackson’s grandmother Andrea Richardson; his uncle Earl Higgins (Jasmine); his uncle Bill Higgins (Linda); and numerous other cousins, relatives, friends and co-workers at Papa John’s and Jimmy John’s.
