Merry Christmas.
Tom and I are still in the hospital. Tuesday we will go home (the soonest we could get transportation).
He is sleeping most of the time and comfortable. We are at the end of this journey and closer every day.
Today Tom’s Brother’s and Sister came and spent time reminiscing, laughing and crying. Patty packed me clothes, snacks, sandwiches, cookies among many other things and I am so very grateful to have clean clothes, homemade food and love from all of them.
Matt, Sierra and Grandkiddos came yesterday and we had a short but lovely visit. Lots of hugs, kisses, giggles and tears. Matt and Sierra brought me stuff I needed and have given so much support!
Ashly dropped Andrew at the farm where he has been taking care of the house and dogs and of course she is on speed dial for me to break down and cry till I can’t if need be.
Pat plowed out our yard and driveway so we can get there,
Brian is helping Hospice deliver equipment needed for these last days to the farm and will likely have 756 jokes to tell Tom to get him or all of us to smile .
So much support, encouragement and love. Thank you all!
I truly can not believe this is real and that it isn’t just a bad dream. I don’t know how to say goodbye to the love of my life.
