Holy moly, time flies around here!  An update is long overdue, clearly.

The three biggest things to know are:

1. Tom started dialysis last week.

2. He just received word from The Mayo Clinic that he remains eligible to be a transplant recipient for another year! 🤗

3. He's still waiting for a kidney donor.

Of course, we were all hoping that we'd be able to find a donor match and he could have a transplant before ever needing to start dialysis, but his health was in a downward spiral and he waited as long as he possibly could.  It was pretty tough to concede that it was time to start dialysis; it's a huge lifestyle adjustment and commitment.  The great news, though, is that he has had 3 sessions of dialysis so far, and he is already feeling a whole lot better than he was one week ago.  We are all so thankful!  He's slowly but surely getting back to the jovial man that we all know and love.
