With a saddened heart this last Caringbridge journal is to tell you Tom passed away at 11:11 this morning, May 7, 2023.
Tom had a rough go of it this past week and had trouble letting go. Or perhaps it was a rough go for us because hospice kept him pain free. In the end he died so peacefully and we shared the last 2 minutes of his life together alone. Leave it to Tom to take his last breathe at 11:11.
In the film “Origins” there was a repetitive occurrence of 11:11 bringing two soul mates together. If you remember, Tom and I re-met in 2009 at our 45th high school class reunion, having a crush on each other in the 7th and 8th grade.
The general meaning of 11:11 is that angelic beings are by your side. As a number sign, Angel number 1111 means the Creator’s angels come with love and protection and want to bring me clarity and guidance at this time, so I can take the next steps in creating my own life.
1111 is to simply be the best human you can be. Oh yes, we have all made mistakes in life, but if we learn from those mistakes we become better and can reach out to others. So thank you Tom for being my soul mate, for showing me I am being protected and should bravely approach the life ahead for me and Happy.
Tom’s body is being donated to Moffitt Cancer Center Research and then will be cremated. I plan to have a Celebration of Life in early November.
