Tonight a wife lost her husband, a mother lost her son, two children lost their father, siblings lost their brother, others lost a friend/family member...

It pains me to say, Todd lost his fight tonight. He fought.. SO. HARD. 

One of the doctors came and talked to us tonight and essentially told us that his brain was still swollen. The CT that was obtained was not a very good indicator of what was still going on in his brain. Due to his low blood pressures for an extended amount of time, there was global damage to the brain (along with everything else that occurred prior to this- aneurysm, brain bleed..). The doctor stated that the most important parts of his brain were affected. At this time his brain stem was not showing any signs of response. 

The family had decided at this point, transitioning to comfort care would be what Todd would have wanted rather than suffering any longer. 

Around 7:20 pm, Todd passed away with his loving family by his side. 

We are heartbroken. Absolutely heart broken. Todd was taken too soon from us. He will be missed immensely by his family and friends. He is no longer in pain. Now, he gets to be reunited with his father and brothers once again. 

Thank you to everyone who provided the family with love, support, and prayers through this whole journey. 

Rest in Peace, Todd. You will be so missed.
