Journal entry by Karen Trudel —
Ok. So a lot of you have been asking how I have been doing and I tried to answer all of you.
I have felt great since the final chemo treatment (#4). I have been taking Hope for a little more walks, but been worried about meeting up with a fox or a coyote. The police came by to warn us about a fox roaming the area. But, I truly feel amazing after 4 rounds of chemo. I unfortunately have not been doing a lot of exercising as much as I wanted to.
I am truly blessed. I am sick of having so many doctors appointments. It seems like every other day, we are going to Concord, NH or Boston, MA for a doctor's appointment. But, I really should not complain because I have my health back. The next step is taking a tablet everyday for the next 5 to 10 years (letrazole - kind of think I misspelled it). Lol.
I am still blessed. My next appointment is with plastics for a pre-op appointment on Tuesday, January 28th, 2020. And the implant surgery is scheduled for February 19 th. I cannot wait to be able to return to exercising. But for now, I will continue to walk Hope and wait until I get the ok to return to exercise with my peeps.
Stand by. Sorry for the delay on the update. Hope is keeping us busy. I had surgery on my ovaries and tubes a year ago yesterday. Then, I got a call saying it was possible ovarian cancer and that's when things changed. That doctor up at Dartmouth Hitchcock recommended me getting a mammogram and then the breast cancer diagnosis was received.
I am amazed that I am unphased by all this. But, I am a survivor and will continue to get thru
