Press Release 7/15/18
On 7/15/2018 at approximately 1115hrs the Dawson Boyd Police Department received a report of an accident in Dawson. At the time the location was unknown. At the same time off duty Dawson Boyd Police Officer, Jordan Baldwin, heard screams coming from his neighbor’s house and ran to the location, 1195 Pine ST, Dawson. Officer Baldwin came upon an unresponsive adult male pinned under the front axle of a full size Dodge Pickup. Officer Baldwin ran back to his home to obtain his floor jack, ran back to the scene, and lifted the vehicle off the victim. He phoned dispatch to immediately initiate the air ambulance. Dawson Fire and Ambulance arrived and transported the victim to Johnson Memorial Health Services in Dawson and later was flown to St. Cloud Hospital where he is in stable but critical condition.
The victim was identified as 43-year-old, Thomas Johnson, of Dawson. The initial investigation revealed that Thomas Johnson and another person were pulling out bushes in his yard. Newest Update

Journal entry by Paula Kill

Good morning everyone.  I apologize for not updating sooner.  It's crazy how much has changed in just 10 days.  We have to give thanks for all the prayers being sent TJs way for how well things are moving forward.  This week he has been making baby steps with each day.  He is able to sit up and take baby waddles (as he puts it) with his back brace on.  The surface wounds are healing up very well.  He does OT and PT to help with his recovery. He does a little more every day and we couldn't be happier.  Some days are tougher than others but he is showing so much fight we couldn't be prouder!  #thumbsupTJ
