Tish’s Story

Site created on March 2, 2022

Tish discovered a lump in her left breast the first week of February 2022. After a biopsy, she was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma.

Her surgeon recommends a double mastectomy followed by reconstruction and chemo.

This site is updated by her sister, Missy Watson.

Tish had her first cancer treatment Thursday…an anti-hormone injection…that’s supposed to help slow down the spread of cancer. The side effects are not fun & she’s struggling a little, but she’s dealing the best she can. She’s still on track to have a lumpectomy SOON. Her oncologist is ordering an MRI to check the bleed on her brain. Hopefully the stroke team will clear her to get the lumpectomy.
Tish is still going to physical & occupational therapy every week. She’s still partially paralyzed & still frustrated about it. It’s proving to be a very painful, slow process.
Her doctors still want her to limit the number of visitors because she can’t take any chances getting sick.
