Journal entry by Tina Vorlicek

Today I had my 100 day post stem cell transplant check up (the actual 100th day is December 7). The short version … Multiple Myeloma (MM) never goes away but mine appears to be under control at this time based on blood and urine tests (bone/marrow biopsy results are pending). I will soon begin life-long maintenance therapy.

Because of all the damage MM has done to my bones throughout my body, especially in my spine and ribs, I still have a lot of work to do to build up strength and mobility.

Other good news - the hairs I do have on my head are growing - they are now over ¼ inch long! Doctor said I should have enough hair for Christmas photos. Maybe Angie Zumach can give Pat and I matching haircuts. 😂 Also, Pat did a great job chauffeuring me around, carrying my big orange pee jug and taking notes at the doctor visit.

On our way home from Rocherster today, we were able to tune in KCHK radio (Pat knew they play old-time music on Friday afternoons). The first song we heard is definitely an oldie but new to us … Pickles Polka - ENJOY!
