Happy Tuesday, everybody!

The countdown is ON! Tim officially has FOUR radiation treatments left. It’s been a weird long/short (almost) 6 weeks.I know I’ve kept a lot of you in the loop and you’ve seen my social media posts, but a quick update:

On May 7th we finally got Tim’s meds regulated- what he should and should not be taking during this treatment. On May 9th, he had a quick staycation in the hospital where he was so dehydrated and malnourished that they kept him overnight. Since then, it’s been pretty smooth sailing.

We’ve heard from Cleveland Clinic and have a plan there when this is all over. They want to biopsy a lymph node “hot spot” they might have seen on the PET scan he had done back in February. From there, if that is benign, they will do a surgery (still not clear on what this would be) and then clear him for transplant protocol.

We’ve also heard from Houston Methodist (where we’ve talked to them about special case transplant) and he is currently within their protocols, but they want to run a day and half of tests. So, that will all go through insurance prior auths and could take 5-6 weeks.

BUT! Tim will get some scans after his last radiation and our biggest prayer is that the tumor is GONE! This has been a very aggressive radiation/chemo treatment and it could, best case, have eradicated the tumor. 🙏🏼 If it hasn’t, we at the very least hope it has shrunk significantly and options are open at other places for transplant. It’s all TBD.

Anyway, we want to as always thank you for the prayers, the meals, the last minute accommodations in crazy schedule changes, just truly everything. We truly believe in the power of prayer and that this latest treatment is going to turn a corner for Tim and his progress.

So, keep ‘em coming! They’re felt and they’re working! We just know it.

love to you all,

Jessie
