Tim’s Story

Site created on October 4, 2018

Thank you for visiting Tim's website.   Tim was recently diagnosed with a cancer called a Primary Mediastinal Seminoma in his chest.  IT'S BALL CANCER in my chest. TESTICULAR CANCER. The chest is an uncommon primary location for this type of cancer but Tim is not a guy who likes 'the usual' anything so it isn't surprising that his body would choose something with flare.  The good news is that this type of Germ Cell Cancer is extremely responsive to Chemotherapy and Radiation and has a 90-95% cure/survival rate.  We wanted to get expert input on his diagnosis and treatment so we took him to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC where they both confirmed the diagnosis & recommended his Chemotherapy Plan.   We are working with a local oncologist to administer/monitor his Chemo with the oversight of the Sloan Kettering experts.    We are so grateful to have the love, support, prayers and encouragement of friends and family near and far.   If you have time or the ability to help with rides, playdates, food, company/encouragement during Tim's Chemo, we would greatly appreciate it.   As we know our family's needs, I will update requests for help.

Much Love to All,

Diana, Tim & Family

Journal entry by Tim Morahan

Yes. Cancer Free!
What's left of my chestnut is inactive.
I still have followups: two scans already scheduled plus constant blood work. And it could come back some day. But I am obviously thrilled to report this to y'all.
No surgery recommended at this time. Whew!
Thank you for your prayers, thoughts, support and so much more. And I know a few of you are wearing those bracelets - which you can finally toss in your drawer hopefully just as a memory.
I love you all!
-Tim
