Surgery went great! Tim is doing wonderful. The surgeons were pleasantly surprised on how the surgery went and how he is doing today. The surgery took 10 hours and 10 minutes. They removed his teeth, took a portion of his right thigh for the tongue flap, removed his tongue, installed the flap, removed a portion at the top of his voice box, removed a portion of the soft palate in his mouth, removed a portion of the right side of his throat and installed a tracheostomy.
They're thinking that we will be out of here on probably Tuesday.
He went from being on three pain medications, one of which was every two hours, to taking Tylenol and Advil only. It's amazing!
