Journal entry by erin burnham —
Tim's follow up with his team in Salt Lake was no surprise. Blood: perfect. Brain: stable.
What's next is one last round (5 days) of chemo this week and then follow up with his team in a few months. This last round of chemo will conclude the 'treatment phase' for Tim. Yay!
MRIs will be part of Tim's care for the rest of his life. For now, every three months or so he'll get an MRI where they will monitor for any 'tumor progression'. The doctors don't use the terms 'cancer free' or 'remission' for this type of cancer, but they don't see any cancerous growth. Confusing, right?
Well, this is the path we follow for now. Some confusion, but a lot of hope.
Thank you all for continued prayers, phone calls, texts and love.
Thank you for coming alongside of us in these last 9 months.
Love, EB
