Journal entry by Thomas Winsky

In December of 2022 I took Tom to the St. Mary's ED. For abdomen pain, they ended up admitting him done more testing, and getting pain under control. They told us there he had pancrtitis. He was discharged form hospital after 4 day, then started more testing in January after some inflammation went down. So January 2023 with more testing and beyopsys, it was confirmed that he had pancreatic Canaer. February 1st was Tom's first Chemotherapy appointment about 5 to 7 hours everyother week. We where almost done with 3rd chemo medication and he had a heart attack. They were treating in chemo dept. till EMT in house, got up there, then call for ambulance. They did a couple of test and admitted him into the hospital got settled about 1:30 AM., I went home for the night, went back to hospital in morning to find out he had 2 more heart attack during night, early morning. So they done lots of testing, he had a 99% blockage in top left artery of his heart, so they done a stint in there to open it back up. He has now been doing cardiac rehabilitation to strengthen his heart back up. On March 3rd he go to start chemo again, but they are doing different medications not so hard on his heart , but just as effective . He did good with this chemo, only side affect he had was high blood sugars. Went back on March 10th chemo ws canceled, due to to low platelets. Will put updates on here as we go through this journey,. And want to thank all Family and Friends for support, thoughts and prayers.
