"No Evidence of Disease." Those are the magic words that we've been praying to hear and today we heard them. I can't even describe the feeling that we're feeling right now. I feel like I lost 15 lbs of stress after a 30 second phone call.
It was another incredibly long day and we left the hospital without results and had to wait for a phone call from the doctor. That call came at 5:15 and was met with happy tears, hugs, and dancing in the living room. Thomas was equally ecstatic to hear the news!
The gray area that was in question from December was considerably smaller, which tells us it's likely fluid leftover from his surgery. There were no other areas of concern according to the radiologist's report. Thomas will need a new scan every 3 months for the first year, but for the next 3 months, we can breathe easier.
His chest port will come out next Monday and we're all excited for this little chapter to be over.
