Journal entry by The Visser Family —
Hi Visser supporters. I (Kelly) am hijacking the Caring Bridge journal to make sure we've gotten the word out to as many people as we can. For those of you who are not on the Visser family/friend/neighbor email update list and haven't received emails from me before, another way you can help the Vissers is by donating to a fundraiser established by friends to benefit the Visser family.
The link is https://www.gofundme.com/f/visser-family-fund, and you can also find this link on the Visser's Caring Bridge tab "Ways to Help." This fundraiser will go directly to Chris to take care of medical bills, funeral expenses, or whatever he sees fit. The fees associated with using Go Fund Me are pretty minimal - 3% plus $0.30 per transaction. If you have any questions, you can contact me via the Go Fund Me Visser campaign site.
Please consider sharing this fundraiser link via social media! Please share!
Also under the "Ways to Help" tab (and right here) is a link to Take Them A Meal, and Colleen has extended meals out through February. After checking in with the Vissers, the meals are a HUGE blessing right now as Chris has headed back to work and the girls are in school. As they navigate the "new normal," the meal train has been the biggest help until they wrestle with the task of learning to cook/meal planning/grocery list making/shopping.
Thank you for all your help and love and prayers.
