Antony and Jaxson’s Story

Welcome to the Machado Boys CaringBridge site. We are using it to keep Antony and Jaxson's care community updated in one place. We appreciate your support and encouragement. 

In the span of hours, Antony and Jaxson Machado were involved in serious accidents. 

Antony was involved in a catastrophic  ATV accident. His injuries are significant, involving both of his feet and will require additional surgeries to repair fractured ankles and deep tissue damage including skin grafts.

Jaxson was playing soccer when his hip fractured at the growth plate. His injury is very painful and will require rehabilitation and a lengthy recovery time.

In a single day, the Machado family experienced more trauma than imaginable and they need our support. Please consider showing your love for this amazing family during an unbelievably difficult time. Surgery Update

Hello all,

Antony’s surgery went as planned.  The plastics team performed liposuction on the area as well as removed some excess skin and tissue.  He does have a large number of stitches in his foot so will need to keep it elevated the next few days in order to keep the swelling down. The surgeon believes he should not have to “de-bulk” again so we are keeping our fingers crossed. 

Antony is now at home resting and is in good spirits.
