Jeff’s Story

Site created on January 5, 2023

Treatments for Jeff are no longer working. He has been off chemo since mid December and is having significant progression of disease. Jeff has decided moving forward to forego treatments and let the cancer take its course. We don't know what that means in terms of time frame but we both feel it's going to be sooner than later judging from his current health conditions. Our family is deeply humbled by the outpouring of support and love. We humbly accept any and all prayers, love and ways you'd like to support our family during this incredibly challenging time. We will continue to update here. Please check back often for ways you can help. Much love, Jeff, April and Rowan  - We are NOT asking you to donate to CaringBridge. If you donate to Caring Bridge it stays with Caring Bridge, no funds are transferred to us. Our gofundme is attached.

Journal entry by Meghan Whitlock-Wolff

Good evening friends,

As I bundle up the meal I have made for the Cornell's this week, I was looking at the family's meal train and we have a lot of open days for March.

In the first days and weeks after the death, a bereaved person often has lots of practical things they need to do. It's also when family and friends are most likely to be around supporting them. However, there's no time limit on grieving and our friends might need support, and to talk about their feelings, for many months or years to come. Something as simple as a small meal can let people know that we as a community have not forgotten or moved on from the loss without them.

I have attached a photo of the open days this month from the meal train. Here is the link to sign up for a day this month:

If you have any trouble signing up please feel free to message me directly at whitlock.meghan@gmail.com and I can get you set up on the calendar.

If you would like to attend Jeff's celebration of life on 4/2 @ 2:00, please register via this link:

April has requested that if anyone has any stories that they would like to share with the family please document them in a letter or audio file so that Rowan and Tucker can continue to learn from their father through our stories. If you choose to write a physical letter, please bring it along to the Celebration of Life event on 4/2 or message Meghan and she can get you the directed to the mailing address for the family. If you would like to send an audio file, please email it to Meghan at:

whitlock.meghan@gmail.com

All digital content sent to Meghan will get compiled onto their own jump drives for April, Rowan and Tucker.

Thank you all for your continued support and love for the Cornell's in this time.

With Love,

Meghan
