Merry Christmas Everyone! It is a blessed time of year, and for us, it have an even more important meaning this year! Terry saw his pulmonologist today and he even admitted that he is amazed by his progress.  He said Terry is one of the few that have had this happen to them and survive. He is one of their success stories. The day that he was admitted, he was placed on the heart/lung machine and it is a relatively new procedure they are studying/trialing/using for people with blood clots in their lungs. Thank God they did and all three of the doctors that were on his case agreed to placing him on it. We had the best doctors who were sure of their abilities and everything fell into place that day. I am forever grateful for it and them. 
Terry's only complaint today was shortness of breath going up steps or a small incline. Dr. B  (his pulmonologist) said if that's all he is having problems with, he wishes more of his patients had that as their only complaint after going through something like this. 
Terry is slowly gaining strength and will be starting cardiac rehab in January. He'll be going for a stress test and other tests in the following months, but as of right now, everything is moving forward. He will most likely be on the Coumadin (blood thinner) the rest of his life, but if that is the worst thing to come of this, we can deal with it! 
This will be my last post. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love, support and most importantly the prayers. Terry is proof that they definitely work. They have gotten me through this trying time as well. Our outlook on our lives has certainly changed and we appreciate our family and friends and church family so much more. It is important to tell people how much they mean to you, and I encourage you all to do that today. Please don't wait! This holiday season is a good time to start. We love you all. ~Jacqui and Terry
