From Tana Davis!
Happy New Year everyone!!
To all who know and have been following Terry's ameloblastoma journey since his diagnosis in August, we have a little update for you. 😊 He is getting a little bored with his pureed, soft food diet and decided to try to expand it a bit.
He has been eating Twinkies and pizza successfully for the last 2 days.
We are continuing with daily dressing changes (have been doing these since the wound vac was removed) and the soft tissue and bone donor site on his lower left leg looks better every day. The skin graft donor site on his left thigh looks great. The incisions on his face, the roof of his mouth and his neck look great. And the stoma from his trach is almost completely closed.
He is putting light weight on his left leg as it feels comfortable.
His right eye is still a little bruised but it's looking so much better.
Thank you everyone for all of the prayers and support!! (Keep it coming, please!)
We wish you all the best in 2023!!
