Journal entry by Teresa Bryant —
I am very happy to share that my last chemo infusion was completed on Dec 20th,and I returned my CADD pack on Dec 22nd. I also was able to ring the bell on the 22nd which was a great feeling!! I was given shots to help with my white blood count, on the 22nd, 23rd and Christmas Eve morning. By Christmas Eve I was pretty run down but so thankful I had been given the best gift ever of actually completing this part of my journey.
My next doctor visit is Jan 25th. He initially told me I would need four months of recovery after my last chemo treatment before returning to work. I do understand that as I am very weak, slow and my fingers, and toes are tingly and feel like they are frozen. I will need two more outpatient surgeries. One surgery to remove my port, and one for a colonoscopy.
I am doing my best to stay healthy, eating right, riding my exercise bike or getting on the treadmill.
I want to thank EVERYONE who said a prayer for me, sent a card, wrote a letter, texted, called, or visited me. Also for the many thoughtful gifts. You have all touched my heart and I am grateful for such strong support!!!
This will be my last journal entry, as EVERY LITTLE THING IS ALL RIGHT.
