My dad passed away yesterday morning, April 18th, in peace.  My brother Travis and I were with him in his home.  He was in no pain and died in his sleep.  Our hospice team was incredible meeting every need that my dad had to the fullest and most remarkable way.  Most importantly, he found Fanny a year ago and developed a special relationship.  She was more than a caregiver to him and they had a unique bond.  He did not want a funeral or service and wanted all of his friends and family to remember all the good times, conversations and I am sure some unbelievable memories.  I read every email he received to him and played every voicemail that was left.  Hospice said that your hearing is the last to go so please know he heard everything.

Ted was a patriot, was in the Marine Corp and loved talking politics especially if you agreed with him.  He was always a hard worker and played to his fullest as well.  I'm sure all of you have some fond memories that will put a smile on your face ;-)  He was always open, honest, loving and fun.  His mind did not work like all of ours (thank you Jim Delory for explaining this in detail to me).  He had his own opinion and could give advise on pretty much anything and I would say he was usually right 99% of the time.  He truly enjoyed helping people figure things out which was one of his talents.  We were all better for knowing him.  I know that we will all miss his talks, speaking of his mind, encouragement and alway being up front.  He touched so many lives and the world was a better place with him.  He is now with the love of his life, Karen.  I'm sure most of you know exactly what they are doing right now.

There are few people that can leave this world with NO items on their bucket list.  My dad was one of those and so I leave you with this:  Live, Love, Laugh-----this is what he lived by.
