Hello World.
So we had to go get RJ's labs drawn today. 
Lab draws are always difficult because RJ has such terrible veins. 
For routine labs, we are able to do a finger stick with no major issues.
Unfortunately, this time we needed A LOT more blood than a finger stuck could provide.
As expected, it was difficult finding a vein and after 2 quite traumatic attempts, I threw in the white flag and asked for a finger stick just to at least get his platelet count.  
We will have to come back another day & try again. 
His  platelets came back at 23, which is great for him.  
Overall, he did well & I'm glad that's over for now.
