We are all home TOGETHER in Port Alsworth!!!

I can't really believe it. To say I feel happy is an understatement.

Thank you all for praying! Sophie handled the flight from Seattle to Anchorage well. God provided some amazing people for us to stay with in Anchorage and the few days we spent there was very restful as we transitioned, saw the pediatrician and bought half of Costco. We got to stop by Providence Hospital where Sophie was born and had her first major surgery and show her off to the staff who cared for her so well. There were happy tears from everyone.

The reception back in Port Alsworth was overwhelming and very touching. We are so thankful to be back in our community for however long we can be. Sophie will have lab draws every 2 weeks in Anchorage and based on those results will determine if we can stay in Port Alsworth. It still very much feels like we are trusting God week by week for our future and Sophie's health, but we "endure as seeing Him who is invisible."

Pslam 126:6, "He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him."

I truly feel like I have come home rejoicing, carrying Sophie, praising His faithfulness.

In the home of the family we stayed with in Anchorage there was a large mural that quoted Corrie Ten Boon, "Never be afraid to trust an UNKNOWN future to a KNOWN God."

Our future is unknown, but God's faithfulness is evident in our past and we trust Him as we walk forward in this new place day by day. The thousands of prayers that have been offered up to God on our families behalf is staggering and truly what I believe that will make this journey a net positive for us, but for Sophie especially. She is a precious gift and we are so thankful to be her parents.

Thank you,

Katie

P.S. Sophie is a huge fan of all the animal mounts in the house. Haha, it's like the zoo! Bears, ibex, sheep, and birds oh my!

Prayer Requests:

-Jon leaves for his summer cooking job at fish camp on June 16th. Please pray for his spirit during our time apart and that Sophie will remain healthy so he can stay and work hard there.

-We miss our friends at the Ronald Mcdonald House who solider on there, please pray for the continued healing of those kids! We miss you Harper, Sawyer, Zion, and Katy.
