Steve: Chemo is continuing and Steve's weight is still an issue. But Steve is hanging tough and they are talking about cutting back the frequency of chemo sessions. At a recent visit to his pulmonologist, Steve got the best news ever - he no longer needs any asthma meds, inhalers or his CPAP at night! Steve's lung function has typically been around 49% but at this appointment it was 81% (which is in the normal range)!! His doctor is looking into publishing a paper about Steve's incredulous turn around to see if the combination of weight loss and chemo drugs could be a new avenue for treating severe asthma! God definitely works in mysterious ways!!!
SHARON: The wait is over for Sharon's new ankle! Surgery to replace her right ankle is scheduled for Friday, May 7th . The plan is for surgery Friday morning and to come home on Saturday afternoon. One of Sharon's amazing sisters is coming out to help for for the first few days. I am setting up a meal train again on this site for a couple weeks, then we'll reevaluate (meaning I will have to talk Sharon into it) . You should be able to access the Meal Train from the home page under "Ways to Help" scroll down to the Meal Train section, click on "Already have a meal train?" , enter https://mealtrain.com/1o3nwz or you can use your browser and go directly to https://mealtrain.com/1o3nwz
A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Steve's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
